The Position
Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Setting up experimental apparatus at the start of test campaigns and disassembling, cleaning, and storing equipment once campaigns are completed
- Performing bench‑scale and mini‑pilot testing of treatment processes according to standard procedures and troubleshooting issues as needed
- Assisting lab process engineers with preparing test plans, entering and analyzing test data, and preparing technical lab reports
- Performing safety reviews of test plans and experimental setups and modifying them as required
- Participating in revising and creating laboratory standard procedures
- Performing routine analytical assays such as titrations, Hach spectrophotometry, and pH and ORP measurements
- Preparing and preserving samples for third‑party laboratory analysis, organizing shipping, and acting as sample custodian
- Preparing reagents and standard solutions, handling and storing laboratory chemicals, and organizing waste disposal
- Performing general laboratory tasks, including chemical inventory, cleanup, organization, and safety duties
- Planning work with senior laboratory personnel and reporting progress throughout test programs
- Performing other duties as required
Eligibility Criteria
- Education in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering Technology, Water Quality Technology, or a related field
- 1+ year of hands‑on lab-based experience with wet‑chemistry techniques, analytical instruments, and standard laboratory procedures
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes is an asset e.g., sample handling, and SOP‑driven testing
- Strong safety awareness, including chemical handling, hazard identification, and adherence to lab safety protocols
- Attention to detail, reliable record‑keeping, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in lab and field environments.
Compensation Package
In addition to a competitive salary, the individual will receive:

Compensation
$65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
